Aloha.
I've encountered a slight problem with the 1.0b release, or at least I'm having this problem after the upgrade.
When I try to preview or save an entry the following error message is returen in the window where I'd usually either get the preview or the "ping-notifications":

Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "" in /**MY PATH TO S9Y**/bundled-libs/Smarty/libs/Smarty.class.php on line 1088

Meh?

EDIT: And now I come to think of it... I'm not receiving mail notification on new comments any longer? Any ideas?

Does the rest of the blog work? Usually that message means Smarty isn't installed properly.

You can try reuploading the contents of that directory; make sure you upload the .php files in ASCII mode. (File sizes may vary between your system and the server, so that's not a valid comparison. At the very least, the file names should match exactly and all the files should be there.)

My guess is that you are missing the templates/default/iframe_preview.tpl file.

In the end I did a complete reinstall and everything seems to be working fine now, except I still don't get any notifications on comments. Thanks for your suggestions, and if you have any idea why I'm not being notified I'd be grateful for your input.

Did you check your serendipity configuration and see if the "Blog'S mail address" setting is properly existing?
