Well, I installed gallery2 today, everything is set up fine on http://www.blakeivey.com/gallery but I'm having problems with the sidebar plugin for the random images. I get the error:

ERROR: URL could not be opened. Either your PHP does not support URL fopen Wrappers or you specified the wrong inclusion URL; the gallery cannot be embedded here

I have tried many URLs such as /linux/path/to/galley and http://www.blakeivey.com/gallery. I always get this error though. Does anyone know how to fix it? I want the plugin to work, not have to hack around it. I dont have any time for that. My php also supports the fopen I believe, my php status says:

allow_url_fopen On(local) On(master)

Anyway, any information would be great.

Ok well, I discovered that I had a permissions problem and gallery2 wasnt displaying at all, but now I get the error:

Error (ERROR_PERMISSION_DENIED) :

* in modules/core/classes/GalleryView.class at line 144 (gallerystatus::error)
* in main.php at line 262 (galleryview::loadview)
* in main.php at line 87
* in main.php at line 80

I dunno what I should do?

This permission error is a Gallery2 problem, I'm afraid you'll have to check with their forums to see what that means.

But since it's also about permissions, try the fix you did with the plugin, it might help here as well.
