Having trouble with Technorati tags

When I enter the technorati code that they show on their site, it ends up getting converted to this:

<a href="http://www.kalbzayn.com/serendipity/exi ... ntry_id=65" title="http://technorati.com/tag/test" onmouseover="window.status='http://technorati.com/tag/test';return true;" onmouseout="window.status='';return true;" rel="tag">test</a>

I tried using the freetag plugin, and got something simililar:

<a href="http://www.kalbzayn.com/serendipity/exi ... ntry_id=63" title="http://technorati.com/tag/marathon" onmouseover="window.status='http://technorati.com/tag/marathon';return true;" onmouseout="window.status='';return true;" rel="tag">marathon</a>

Any idea where the php and onmouseover, etc is coming from and how to get rid of it? It seems to be getting in the way of updating technorati.

Thanks

Yes, this transformation is coming from the "Markup: Track Exits" plugin. This is usually installed so that you can track each link that your users click on. :)

So everything was working just fine. About 3 days ago, Technorati stopped updating my website when I post an entry. I sent them an email to see if they could see anything from their end, but I probably changed something on my end and don't know what it was now.

Is there anything special I need to either do or not do to be able to update Technorati?

My website is http://www.kalbzayn.com/serendipity

Thanks

Do you still use the weblogping plugin to ping technorati.com when posting an entry?

Yes I do. I was doing some research last night and read about doing the W3C validation. I did that and there were some errors. I started cleaning those up last night and almost immediately got updated by Technorati. So, I think I learned an important lesson about running everything through there before I start asking questions. Thanks for looking into it.
