I am getting an error when trying to download the user registration plugin.

Are you user number 565, or is that the webserver? (I'm betting on the webserver, since user IDs usually start at 1000.)

We've seen weird stuff like this happen before with SAFE_MODE. The first thing to try is changing the plugins directory to 664, then if that doesn't work, 777.

You can always choose to install the plugin directly, too, instead of using SPARTACUS. (Is this the first plugin you've tried to install with SPARTACUS? Or do others cause the same problem?) Just download the plugin .zip file (a full version is available at http://s9y.org/29.html) and upload the appropriate directory (or the whole darn thing) to your plugins directory with an FTP client.

I went to the page you suggested. http://s9y.org/29.html and i see no user registration plug in.

i have tried changing all the permissions from my control panel. I gave it full control to write. is there a better place to download it?

Nevermind found the plugin file

Sorry; by "full version" I meant "all the plugins in one file".

I apologize for the confusion.

I assume adding the write permissions didn't allow SPARTACUS to work, since you're manually adding the plugin?
