Fatal error

I updated to the nightly dated 12242005 and get this error when I click 'Manage Styles' and when I try to get updates for events or plugins.
Trying to open URL package_sidebar_en.xml...
Fatal error: Class net_socket: Cannot inherit from undefined class pear in /hsphere/local/home/dcockrel/thecockrells.com/blog/bundled-libs/Net/Socket.php on line 35

What version of PHP are you using? Is PEAR installed?

PHP 4.3.11 but I don't guess I've ever messed with PEAR and honestly don't know if it's installed or not. Is there an easy way to tell?! Is PEAR required now or has that changed recently?

PEAR is bundled like the other classes we use...so basically it should all work. Did you maybe move/edit some files in your bundled-libs directory?

Not that I know of but I'll upload the latest snapshot and see what happens.

That wasn't a good idea! Now I get this.

I used the 1223 snapshot and got a different error about templates_c not being writable and I changed that and have a my website now! My original problem is fixed now also. Thanks
