multi-user in serendipity

Post by brigitmoonsong »

NOTE: I am new here so I don't know if I am posting in the right place!

I am busy setting up serendipity and would like to know whether there is any facilities for having multiple users using serendipity to have EACH have their own blog?

I am NOT referring to the multi-user access to ONE blog that I have already found.

I got about 572 users and each of them wants a blog of their own.

I have already looked at over 300 different blogging software on sourceforge (and other open source places)
... and serendipity is THE BEST ONE I've found 8)

Sooooooooo... to make me (and about 572 other people) VERY HAPPY, is it possible to tell me how to make it multi-user with multi-blog???

And if it isn't, can it be done ASAP... puuuuulllleaazzzzzeeeee... 8)

Yep, Shared Installation is the thing that comes closest to what you want. It requires you to have some skill in server administration, though.

Multi-User Services like n3rds or supersized all use that mode.

A "true" multi-user system like MoveableType is not in the works, and will not be done "ASAP". Getting this in the future would be a nice thing, though. Any volunteers are warmly welcome.
