OK so I took aquick look at the new plugin Garvin made. After the install via Spartacus it told me this:

Code: Select all

You can rate products, movies or anything else and display your rating within your associated entries. Also enables you to share your ratings with other users of these plugins. This plugin requires you to edit template files, please read the README file.
So I had to use my FTP programme to look at the readme file. But isnt this a little bit counter-inuitive when using Spartacus? Shouldnt there be at least a link or something, so you can read this from your backend?

just my 2 cents.

This will be a nice feature:
In the plugin dirctorys a directory "doc" with the documentation. If you click in the admin gui the "documentation" link you can see all files in one list an can read them... because s9y rewrite this and you think this is all in one directory ... *träum*

Yeah the file is stored in the plugin folder anyway, so its url is available, why not just link to it?

It cannot be linked to, because mod_rewrite would rewrite the directory, I think.

HOWEVER, the plugin requires you to use your FTP editor sowieso, thus I didn't think it being counter-intuitive to read the README file in the plugin's directory. The plugin is for advanced use(r)s, so an additional Hürde might help ;)
