URL question

My site is hosted by Cheap-DomainNames.com (yep I'm cheap), and I installed Serendipity via the control panel setup. Unfortunately, the install did not give me the option of choosing a directory for Serendipity (obviously a drawback, one of a few, of hosting a site with Cheap-DomainNames.com)... it automatically created a /serendipity directory and plopped it there.

I was thinking something along the lines of /stfu

Anyway... rather than change providers, is there an easy way to make the url static? In my Google searches before posting this here, I found a solution using frames but man I really don't wanna go there.

Basically I want my site to look like this when someone clicks on something: www.mysite.com rather than www.mysite.com/serendipity/uploads/513.jpg

I'm don't know css or php and can barely do html. But I can follow directions, and copy & paste :)

Oh, and if it matters, I'm using the MT3-Chalkboard template.

Thanks

Sorry to reply to my own question, but maybe it'll help someone.

I think, since it is a fresh install, I'll delete it (they offer an 'install' option, but no 'uninstall') via FTP. Then download the package from this site and install it the old-fashioned way, after creating a directory whose name I CHOOSE and making the database/etc.

I shoulda done this in the first place.

Thanks again, and sorry, again.

Precisely, using your own install is much more easier, then you can put s9y in the root. :-)

Have fun,
