Hi,
I am newbie of seren.
I installed serendipity-0.9.1 on my SUSE 9.3, php-4.3.10.
Posted message are garbled in Japanese while English are OK.
Writing blog in Japanese looks fine at preview but after save the message and back to blog view, it comes in mess and weird.
I use UTF-8 encode and tried to view garbled message by other encode but it was not fixed.
Please give me some hint to fix this.
Thanks,
Shigeru

Re: weird character
Can you give us a URL to your blog where it appears garbled? Which browser are you using, and did you enabled WYSIWYG editing within serendipity?

Garvin

Re: thanks for your help
I think your browser is not sending UTF-8 characters to Serendipity!
Or maybe you are using a wrong MySQL table collation? Can you check if your MySQL is configured for UTF-8 use?
Maybe you can talk to Tadashi Jokagi (elf2000_at_gmail.com) who is using and maintaining our japanese features...
Best regards,
Garvin
