side bar options

Hi, I've seen a serendipity blog site that doesn't have the 'Syndicate this blog' in the side bar, also the calendar is at the bottom, also is it possible to remove the little 'XML' buttons?
The site I'm looking at is http://www.2upon2wheels.com/serendipity/.
By site is at http://www.cruisin-by.co.uk/, I like the uncluttered look.
