Hi,

I've installed various versions of Serendipity (v.7 and v.

and I have just started installation on v.9 for a site.

I am familiar with having to change the permissions on some directories so that they can be "writeable", but this error puzzled me. It says I need to change the permissions on this:

public_html/main/templates_c

It's puzzling because I don't a directory or file named "templates_c". I have a "templates" directory, but changing that didn't do anything...

Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks!

You might have not extracted empty directory from your s9y release file. You can just create the empty "templates_c" directory then!

So the "templates_c" directory is just an empty folder?

Yes, at the beginning. Later it will hold compiled template files.
