I have tried to install the forum on my localhost, but it was not successful, although the absolute path was correct (F:/xampp/htdocs/blog/files).
Error message: Die Seite kann nicht angezeigt werden/ Server nicht gefunden
Difference to my online installation: not in the root listing - any idea?
Many thanks for any help

Can you please be more specific? Where did you enter that absolute path, how are you trying to call the forum, resp. where do you get that Error message exactly?

Garvin

Good morning!
I have entered the absolute path in the administration interface:
Absoluter Server Pfad zum uploads-Verzeichnis
Default: F:/xampp/htdocs/blog/files
I get the error for this address:
http://localhost/blog/index.php?serendi ... age]=forum (statische url)
Forum is the default name and I have not changed the name.

Can you try to just enter "/xampp/htdocs/blog/files"?
Do you have the page available in Internet, I'd like to see the error?

i have tried /xampp/htdocs/blog/files - no effect. I have checked once again the the DOCUMENT_ROOT F:/xampp/htdocs - it is correct. Yes it is online - but without any problems. Online it works, but it is easier for me to change things offline - via server@home.

Hm...I'm really sorry, I don't know then what is causing the problems without having a look at the install.
Maybe you can drop by on dma147s page, he has a forum plugin support forum

Hm, I'm really sorry... I have no working Windows server setup here so that I could test it.
Do other plugins like staticpage or contactform work? If they do, then it is a problem with the forum plugin and I really hope that dma147 might have the time to investigate
Best regards,
Garvin
