I seem to be having a problem with permissions? I get the following error when i try to install plugins from Spartacus
Cannot write to directory /myrootfolder//plugins/. Please check the permissions.Error: serendipity_plugin_staticpage:26e5d228ac06c9a3125c7f2597179140 (serendipity_plugin_staticpage)
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /myrootfolder/include/admin/plugins.inc.php on line 664
Any Suggestions?

if you use spartacus the plugin folder needs to be writeable.

I've changed the permissions, but I still get the following error
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /usr/local/www/vhosts/free2succeed.net/htdocs/include/admin/plugins.inc.php on line 664

Hm, which serendipity version are you running?
You might want to delete failed plugins either from the plugin panel, or manually by kicking it out of the serendipity_plugins DB table...

Okay -- did you try to delete currently failing plugins? Can you make a screenshot of how your event/sidebar plugin config looks like? All plugins marked with "error" should be removed and reinstalled...

I have, in fact, deleted the errant plugins in the config area. When I retry, it continues to happen.
Here's the screen shot

IF you get such a screenshot, you are not using the Spartacus Plugin from Serendipity 0.9!
Since 0.9, spartacus only offers one single download link. Check if your 0.9 upgrade failed to copy over the new spartacus files (because of file permissions?). If that happened, you may have more than just spartacus in a state of Serendipity 0.8 instead of 0.9.
