comments for registered members of blog only

Is there a plugin that allows me to restrict comments to registered members of my blogs only. I am using them in a middle school reserach project, and I bet you can guess the mayhem that ensues when non-registered people comment. I have the 'name' field mandatory, but any name can be put there.

Yes, you can try to use the "serendipity_event_adduser" plugin, which contains a config option to only post as registered member. Hope that helps.
Another step you might want to take is to enable comment moderation?

I cannot find the plugin of which you speak. I tried monitoring and apprving comments, but it got out of hand. When the students are using the site, they are all using the site (around 50 people). I don't really need to block comments that are unacceptable so much as make sure everyone is taking reponsibility for their comments, so people may know who is replying and so on.
I already have restricted posting to regostered users.
Thanks for the quick response.

You can find the plugin in our addtional plugins repository (
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/p ... n_adduser/) or through spartacus plugin!
