here, I tried to track back to this entry. S9y tells me after submitting the second entry, it had done the trackback but I can't see anything about that.

The same already happens with my local install (0.8.5). So, what am I doing wrong?

Did you check your "Comments" admin interface item and check if the trackback is listed? It might be that the trackback was made, but recognized as Spam.

Can you tell me the complete output of your trackback creation, where it tells you the trackback was made?

ok, I checked the comments, it says '- Noch keine Kommentare -'

my current test for a trackback produced this output:
'Überprüfe http://compyblog.supersized.org/archive ... est-1.html auf mögliche Trackbacks...
Sende Trackback zu URI http://compyblog.supersized.org/comment ... entry_id=4
• Trackback erfolgreich
Der Eintrag wurde gespeichert'

But, as you can see, it shows no trackback (and no comment). I'm still wondering whether it's something I'm doing wrong but I can't imagine what that might be...

I just tried to trackback your URL as well, doesn't work as well.

Can you check your Spamblock plugin settings please? Maybe you enabled the "REJECT" button for "API comments like trackback" and thus all trackbacks are rejected?

That did it. I guess, I don't like that default. At least not for testing...

I've got the same problem as described in the first posting... i get

• Checking http://s9y.vgai.de/index.php?/archives/7-test3.html for possible trackbacks...
Sending trackback to URI http://s9y.vgai.de/comment.php?type=tra ... entry_id=7...
• Trackback successful

but the target doesn't get a trackback... other than Rexxer, i didn't have the spam-blocker REJECT API-comments, and i can't find any other settings that could prevent the trackback... any idea what could cause this behavior? trackbacking from my blog to other blog works, but trackbacking from other blog to my blog seems to fail, too...

as additional information you should know that this is serendipity 1.1-beta6 and i have safe_mode on, but didn't have any problems with it yet -- could this be the problem? if yes how could i solve it? (i can't switch it off)

Hi!

On the target blog, did you check the spamblocklog there? I am quite sure that some moderation antispam feature is queuing your trackback.
