help with apache2 PHP

Hi,
I tried to install s9y on my local server (c't Server version). For that I installed PHP, including the module for apache2. Everytime I try to access the index.php of my fresh s9y (the Installer, I guess) a download window opens. The strange thing is, that a .php-file with just a '<?phpinfo(); ?>' works.
What am I doing wrong?
