Static page as disclaimer but not showing menues

Hi,

today I found a very interesting question where I'd like to find an answer, but no success so far.
I created a static page and marked it as frontpage, fair enough so far. The page is meant as disclaimer to notice people about the content. Actually I got the notice of a buddy that he cannot link me because the menu right displays a direct link to the content pages and then he might get in trouble with the law.
So my idea is to disable select menues not at the frontpage. I could manage to display the menue just on the article overview or the view of the article itself, but how to deny it on the frontpage only?

Regards, Thomas

Why don't you just create a index.htm splashpage with your content? Then it can be unrelated to Serendipity completely.

Hiding it at the frontpage would require some serious plugin modifications...you did try the latest version of the sidebarhider plugin, right?

What version you mean? The versioning inside the plugins often does not reflect the actual version. I mean, a couple of them have still version 1.2 marked, but in the CVS often a higher number is displayed.
I'll take a look as soon as I have version 0.9-final installed, then Spartacus might work again (currently the event plugin installation is not working).

Hm, which version are you using then? I think beta1 or so had a problem and could not upgrade plugins...

But the final will be released today :)
