We have a song lyrics site (http://www.behindthelyrics.com) that is will one day soon be a fan blog for music. We would like to have message boards and forums that would go beyond the posting of comments to the primary article writer (me). Is it hard to set up boards that would enable fans to create their own topics (like the Serendipity forum?) and then contribute to the discussion (threaded messages) about the topic. It would have a summary screen listing the discussions. A person could click on a topic or start a "New Topic." Thank you! :D

dma147 has written a plugin for this: Look at his blog on http://blog.linux-stats.org/ where he writes a lot about the forum plugin and also offers the download.

The s9y documentation on www.s9y.org explains how to install/fetch plugins - the forum plugin is also available through the Serendipity Spartacus plugin.

Best regards,
Garvin
