Switch off menu in a template

Can I switch off the menu in a template that the forum is visible?: http://www.romankeller.ch/serendipity/i ... forum.html
u want the forum link to not appear.
or the whole menu to not appear.
the menu sidebar is because of the static page sidebar plugin. just hide it inside the "manage plugins" of ur admin page
