I've been trying, without success to install this plugin.

I've tried downloading it from dma147's blog, FTPing into the plug-in directory and also through Spartacus.

My blog is located at: http://www.mysite.com/blog/
The Gallery 1.5.1 is located at: http://www.mysite.com/gallery/

When I fill in the "Directory of Gallery Installation" with http://www.mysite.com/gallery/ and "Filename of the embedded script" with "block-random.php" it doesn't work.

When I use the local-server address for the directory: "/home/user/site/gallery/", back on the main page, it shows a lot of php code but no image.

I've tested and http://www.mysite.com/gallery/block-random.php works.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi...

I've never written nor provided for download the random-photo-block plugin. So you havn't downloaded it from my blog.

But I've this running too and I can remember, that I had the same issues to get it to work.
The solution then was a:
"block-random-enhanced.php?size=125&target=_top&album=gallery&target=_blank"
...in as the "Filename of embedded script"

I've found this "block-random-enhanced.php" somehwre on the official site of gallery or there in the forums. Search for this enhanced script, put it in your gallery directory and then it should work.

Note that the "random block" plugin requires your PHP installation to have the allow_url_fopen setting enabled. Otherwise the plugin cannot read the PHP file frmo your server.
