It would be nice if an html nugget appeared on specific categories.

you can do this in 0.9 with the entrycategory plugin and Im not sure if theres another one needed. but Im sure there is a way to do that already!

but i don't want to make the categories into blogs.

Ok ok I'll make em into blogs.

I dont know what the own blog for a cat. is about. just dont change the theme and only change the sidebar and you got what you want.
