Implementing surveys into the plugin would be a 100% rewrite of all the plugin code. It's a completely different approach, sadly.
Sadly I have no experience with survey utiliies, but I know there are many PHP-based ones out there. If you find a particularly well done survey tool which allows integration, we could try how to implement it?
