$serendipity['version'] = '0.6-pl2';

should be

$serendipity['version'] = '0.6-pl3';

for new release on June 25th Garvin, GOOD ONE BUDDY GOOD ONE!!! hehe

As I mentioned in a parallel post, that's true. However it's no bad thing, as the upgrader didn't need to change anything from pl2 to pl3. It's only a cosmetic issue, which IMHO doesn't require a pl4 release...
