Alright, first I always setup my .htaccess file and .htpasswd for upgrading that away no one gets on and 'screws' stuff up.

Anyways, I got the new pl3 release from 06/20/04 and was going to upgrade from my pl2.

Uploaded just like norma, and went to site, entered user/pass from htpasswd and it isn't upgrading. Now it gives me a parse error in my theme.

Am I forgetting to do something??

Sadly the -pl3 release contains a wrong version information, so there's no upgrader screen. However that's not really important, because nothing is changed in the installation.

Your parse error in the theme shouldn't be coming from this issue. What parse error is it, what do the lines look like?
