serendipity_config_local.inc.php all got reset to empty

NOt sure if this is a but or not but one of our editors at level 1 was editing his profile and entered 255 to change his editor level. I was surprised that he even had access to this. He changed it to 255 and did a save and then the whole board was inaccessible except through the back end.

It turned out when he did this all the variables in serendipity_config_local.inc.php all got reset to empty

Is there anyway to be sure this doesn't happen again?

Which version of Serendipity are you using? That's very important for the issue of your problem.

We're running v.0.7.1. We tried to upgrade but we couldn't.

Okay, this bug had been fixed for the 0.8 versions already.

What were/are you problems with upgrading?
