markup plugin for html links

Is there an S9y plugin, similar to the NL2BR plugin, that is very simple, that merely makes html into links?

like html://www.google.com would be clickable (it does it for this forum, which is ironic)

or something similar to get that sort of functionality? Just curious.

The usual approach to do this is to use BBCode - just put "\" and "\" around your address when having the bbcode markup plugin activated.

One other solution is the Wiki markup plugin which auto-transforms this.

Or you might want to enable the WYSIWYG editor, which does this automatic translation as well.

As a last resort, a plugin that only transforms links could be created, but I must admit I don't see much use in that and rather encourage the use of BBCode, which has some other cool formatting helps like "b", "code" and so on.
