serendipity_event_smtpmail do not run with php 7 . Is only supported till 5.

Yep. Added an issue https://github.com/s9y/Serendipity/issues/612. Should not be that hard to upgrade the code.

Thanks for the advice, I've changed the script and have it setup with composer. Was easy.
