Adding "About me" along side

Post by lipmanaj »

Hello,

How would I add an "About Me" column on the side that would persist as new entries are added?

I am currently using the "Blue" template.

Incidentally, can you also explain how to view the templates in full, rather than thumbnail, size?

Thanks!

Install the static page plugin, then create an about me page with it. Then you need to link to that new page. The easiest way is using the HTML Nugget plugin.

If you want the text to show up directly on the sidebar you can of course use the HTML nugget plugin to place any text an the sidebar you want.

You can select each plugin and then look at the blog again. Or install the Template dropdown plugin and you can chance all the templates while looking at the blog.

Go to the "configure plugins" menu. Choose "Click here to install a new event plugin". Then you can select the plugins you want to install. Note: The list there shows only plugins that you already installed to you server, like those ones included in the default installation. But there is an easy way to access all plugins, with the Spartacus plugin. So I highly recommend installing Spartacus. If you do a new option will show up "Click here to fetch a new event [or sidebar] plugin from the Serendipity Online Repository". If you click it you can download and install external plugins very fast and easy.

After installing the menu will have a new option "static pages".

UP DOWN
Markup: NL2BR

So, how do I find and install Sparatcus if it is not listed among these?

Thank you. You can tell I am new at this!
