Hi,

Everything went well on the install until I got this message - Fatal error: Call to undefined function: smarty_core_get_include_path() in /home/digital/digitalpagesinc-www/serendipity/bundled-libs/Smarty/libs/internals/core.assemble_plugin_filepath.php on line 54

My environment is:

Apache Server - 1.3.33
PHP - 4.3.10
Mysql - 3.23.58
Serendipity = 0.8.2

Can you help me please?

Thanks,

This sounds like you did not properly extract the full serendipity 0.8.2 tarball and you're missing some files frmo Smarty.

Check that again and make sure you have all files and directories extracted. Check with http://svn.berlios.de/viewcvs/serendipi ... bs/Smarty/ to see if all files are there.

Garvin

Hi Garvin,

I tried a rewrite from my ftp and I got an includer error. My plan is to now delete serendipty from the server and do a fresh install hopefully with all of the folders. I'm also going to do a fresh install on the mysql server.

Thank you for the quick response! I'll let you know how it goes.

Hi Garvin,

I did a fresh install and made some progress, I guess. I now get a different problem - Fatal error: Call to undefined function: smarty_core_is_secure() in /home/digital/digitalpagesinc-www/serendipity/bundled-libs/Smarty/libs/Smarty.class.php on line 1588

With your help I'll get this going yet.

Thanks!

This very much sounds as if the upload via FTP to your host has garbaged files. Maybe you have connection problems which lead to corruption of files.

Please compare all filesizes and directories with our repository Link I gave you already and chick if all files are properly in place.

Regards,
Garvin
