Content -> Sidebar

Is it possible to add content to the sidebar section of s9y? I just want to add links or pictures or PHP code without installing plugins.

Yes, use a "HTML nugget" plugin that is bundled. You can fill in content there.
If you want to do it without plugins, it's also doable, but harder. Then you need to edit your index.tpl template file and fill in the HTML stuff manually.
