hey,

what's going on here? first of all allow me to introduce myself, I am William Danze. Enough with the formalities. I have a working s9y install under the / directory of my web bost. This means my blog is accessible by http://supremebeings.org . The thing is that now I want to move the blog to a subdirectory. Something like http://supremebeings.org/blog . Can someone help with some instruction on the best way to do this.

Thanks in advance,
William Danze

Hi William....Welcome to the forums!

The easiest way to do this would be to go to the admin section of your blog, then to Configuration, and check out the Paths section. Change the Full Path, the Relative Path, and the URL. Save that, then move all of your stuff over to /blog/. If you're on linux, be sure to move the .htaccess file in the root dir also.

One problem you may encounter is that the serendipity_config_local.inc.php isn't readable unless you're root, or your host has suphp or something similar configured...

Good luck,
Brett

Thank you!

And sorry for the delay in responding. Kidgoo's suggestions worked perfectly. My blog was move to a subdirectory of the site, with a few minor glitches, but those were due to end-user mistakes. For all interested parties here is the new url http://supremebeings.org/ss

Thanks Kidgoo.
