New Entry Bug

When I go to the New Entry page, the Entry Body box does not have the tool bar, but there are a lot of symbols and number superimposed on the screen.
How do I get rid of these and get the tool bar back?

With this description, it's really hard to figure out what you mean. Could you maybe provide a screenshot of this?
My best guess would be that you usually do
not use the WYSIWYG editor and switched in on by accident. If so, setting Personal Settings → Use WYSIWYG editor to “No” (don't forget to save) should fix it.
