I am not sure whether this is actually a bug in serendipity or in bbcode. I just noticed that in my blog, whenever I want to publish some code using

Code: Select all

 all backslashes are stripped out. I haved looked through all the configuration items, but I did not find any useful configuration variable. 
This is quite annoying to me, as I sometimes publish Latex Code, which gets totally wrong then.
Does anybody know a workaround or a fix?

I don't use bbcode for that, so I'm sorry to can't tell you. However, have you looked at the "GeSHI" markup plugin? This one is much more advanced when it comes down to any code...
