Hi,
This is my irst time on the forum, so I hope someone can help me.

When I went to log into my blog this morning, I got the following message:

"Oops!

It seems an error has occured, the page you are trying to reach is not accessible.

Error

MESSAGE: Cannot connect to DB, check your credentialsIf you remove the file seagull/var/INSTALL_COMPLETE.php you will be able to run the setup again.
TYPE: DB FAILURE
DEBUG INFO:
CODE: -111

Error

MESSAGE: DB Error: connect failed
TYPE: PEAR
DEBUG INFO:
CODE: -24"

Now, I appreciate the user-friendly error message, but there is nothing I can do about it from my end.
Who is responsible for fixing the database and when can we get it back up?

Unless you accidentally changes your database connection credits (doesn't sound like you would know how to do that), you should talk to the person/company you got your web hosting package from.

What a nice christmas surprise... ;-)
This message has nothing to do with Serendipity in special.
It is part of some Seagull installations DB class (http://svn.seagullproject.org/svn/seagu ... SGL/DB.php) of your hosting package, I expect.
Talk with your ISP.
