Installation problems

Hello,
I downloaded and unpacked the software and now I am busy with install. I have a problem with Database settings. I really don't know what to put there. For me it is very technical abcadabra , all these terms in the Database Settings area.
The error reading is:
- The database you specified does not exist.
The mySQL error was: Access denied for user: 'compazzc@localhost' to database 'serendipity'
Can someone help me here?
