Sidebar plugins visible only to one/more users

In the plugin configuration screen, you have a select box for selecting "all authors" or each single author.

I hoped this is for switching visibility of the plugin, but it isn't (in the default configuration at least). What exactly is it for? Or do I have to switch on some global setting to make it work? If so, perhaps it would be good to hide these selectors if this global option is not set.

Hi!

No, this is for editing privileges of a plugin.

You can use the sidebarhider plugin to hide specific sidebar plugins.

Like I said, this is for the editing privileges of a plugin. The usergroup who is listed there is the "owner" of the plugin and can fully configure it.
