I'm running s9y v1.2 on Godaddy with PHP 4. I'm considering hosting OpenCart on the same account but if I do I'll have to upgrade to PHP 5. What kind of problems will I have with s9y v1.2 if I do that?

Thanks,

Rin

Oh GoDaddy.... a never ending story... ;-)

None! It depends which PHP version is served, as the 5.3.x version have some deprecated elements. Maybe you'll also need to set a php5.ini (with memory or tmp path enhancements, or error up/downgrading) in your Serendipty root, but upgrading to PHP5 should work with 1.2 in generally.

This (and an additional upgrade to Mysql5) is also needed to upgrade Serendipity itself. It has really developed over the years and also has fixed some bugs! It is strongly recommended to always work with the latest release if you are using a self installed and not modified by GoDaddy Serendipity version.
