Changing hyperlink URL for Blog Title

Hi,
I've just installed Serendipity and noticed that when I click on the blog's title, it links to the blog.
I would like to add a new link (with my website's index page URL) to let the user return to my web site's home page. Can that be done? If yes, how?
Any help appreciated.
Regards,

You can do this via the staticpage plugin, which can hold a sidebar link to home/blogstart, or you create your own sidebarlink via the html nugget plugin ending /index.php or /?frontpage, or use a navigation link which might be possible with your theme (bulletproof the default has one for example).

Hi,
Thanks for these suggestions. I am a beginner scripting in Serendipity, so I need some help to set up the staticpage plugin. I've installed it OK, but there don't seem to be any instructions on how to configure it so that it contains a link to my webpage? Any help appreciated.

Where do you want the URL to appear?

Hi Don,
Thanks for your reply.
My website has a link to the blog which is hosted on the same site (/serendipity). I would like the person who navigates to the blog from the website's home page (or any other page) to be able to return to the website's (not blog's) index page.
I'm using the wp-clone template. A prominently placed (so it is easily visible) side bar hyperlink or button taking the person back to the index page of my website would be helpful to them. (I've also thought about a "back" or "previous" link, but if they have navigated within the blog, that may take several clicks to get them all the way back to the website's index page.)

Some of the templates have navigation bars. You could one of these templates then code one of the navigation items to point back to your root site. As Ian suggested, the template "bulletproof" is one such template, but there are a number of others.
Also as Ian said earlier, you could also use an HTML nugget in one of your sitebars. An html nugget is essentially anything you want it to be.. perhaps an image, html text, plain text, etc.
To add an html nugget plugin to your site, go to the admin/backend, then select "Configure Plugins", then "Click here to install a new sidebar plugin". Search the list for HTML nugget. You can insert as many of these as you wish, or a single one can contain multiple links if you want.

Hi Don,
OK, got the HTML nugget working. (Will play with it to see if I can get it higher up on the sidebar, like top item.)
Thanks for your help.

You will see some dots in the upper left corner of each sidebar plugin... grab that area with your mouse, and drag each plugin into whatever position you want them in.

Thanks, Don.
Serendipity has great capability! It will take a while to learn, but I am enjoying it.
Again, much thanks!
