Preface
I tried and tested event_twitter before on test-server and got correct (expected) results

Installed and (correctly) configured event_twitter on my two production-blogs doesn't produce live announces in related twitter-accs. Settings are identical to first installation (except linked twitter-names), announces are enabled, applications are connected and I see after publish "twitter update for ..." notify. But none appeared in Twitter.

Where and how and what should I look for? I know I can use alternative transports (or change hosting), but - I prefer Occam Razor and understanding of what is happening

Your API key in Twitter is registered to your proper domain?

I'd try to edit the PHP code and add debug echo output of all the requests that are performed..especially the calls to the Twitter 0Auth calls...

I don't know really - I done dumb monkey-work in defining some things in plugin settings, wrote some texts, press some buttons...

Can you be more specific in your configuration, i.e. which domain name you are trying to use, and show a screenshot of your twitter API settings panel?

The full configuration please.

And for twitter I mean https://dev.twitter.com/apps and the corresponding APPs. You can replace your custom authentication keys/values maybe with "A" and "B" etc. Make sure that the authentication tokens are properly entered in your s9y plugin config, no whitespaces before or after the keys...

Well,open-close doors helped a little - delete lent in event_twitter, re-add keys - and announces run to twitter. One mistake was found for lazybadger_net app - read only access, for lazybadger_lair I just entered new keys
