Microblogging (Twitter,Identica) - where's the button?

I'm not sure, whether I expect the right thing, this is, what I did: I installed the plugin, entered all information in the twitter application registry form and copied the consumer key and consumer secret into the plugin configuration form. The user name for the backend client - is that my blog user name or the twitter user name? I tried both, it didn't make a difference.

What I expected was something like a button somewhere around the editor, which I could use to announce new blog entries on my twitter account. However: nothing has changed, I can't find anything different. Is my expectation wrong?

What about different authors? There are several authors in my blog, so I would that everybody can tweet their new articles to their own twitter accounts. Is that possible?

Is there any documentation I've been missing? I looked really hard, but couldn't find anything.

Posts are announce automagically, should you chose to configure the microblogging plugin to do so. However, there is an option at the very bottom of the edit entry page to suppress the announcement for that entry.

No, since the plugin doesn't support multiple accounts as of now.

Hi!

In the plugin config, all the data you enter there relatest to twitter. So you need to enter the twitter name there, save the plugin configuration and enter consume keys/hashs to create a connection to your blog.

Can you make a screenshot of your current configuration? (You can replace your sensitive consumer key/secret with some random strings).

About the announcement features: The plugin is currently constructed to tweet with an account connected to your complete blog, rather than specific users. I haven't yet even thought about the usage scenario that you describe. It sounds quite interesting, but also some larger chunks of work would need to be done to make that happen...
