Hi, while publishing my blog page on my site: http://www.cfasw.net/ my blog page would not appear.
All I remember is after changing the template I noticed the page name had changed from blog*** to blog****** on my list of pages within my website.
I realize I have a separate web hosting company that has the Serendipity blog component. When I called them they said I have to contact Serendipity, because this is 'free' for their company (whatever that means) and so they didn't know enough to tell me how I can publish my blog, just that they see it isn't publishing. The blog page does not appear.
Is there something I can do to get my blog page back? If you understand me thank you in advance for any help you can provide!

Have you tried changing the style?
Also try creating an article and see if it shows up.

did you actually install serendipity or was it already installed for you?
if you have ftp/ssh access you could even start from scratch with a fresh new install... if you know the credentials to the DB that you need to connect.

You're using "RV Site builder" which customizes Serendipity to a point we cannot support because they changed core components which we have no knowledge of.

Especially the configuration and template management has been altered in a way that they have never revealed to us, so we can't really support it here - we wish we could!

Currently, the URL you mentioned does appear here, so is the issue already resolved? If not, what exactly is the problem?!

Hi, I apologize I haven't answered but did not get an email someone replied and have made sure to check the box to notify me when a reply is posted.

My website publishes at http://www.cfasw.net but nothing appears on the blog tab.
Serendipity and RVsitebuilder is installed with webhostingpad.com the webhosting company. They don't require ftp but I can upload websites if I choose to with their "professional" version which I have. Webhostingpad offers their own templates. I am not familiar with what "ssh access" is.

Typing a new blog entry and publishing produces nothing on the page whatsoever. I tried adding a new blog page but that produced nothing on the page as well. I changed the website style but get the same problem: no blog page gets published.

Webhostingpad sends me to RVsitebuilder to find answers and I found my way here. They don't know anything about RVsitebuilder or Serendipity.

Sadly, this is really a RVS Sitebuilder specific problem and the one who installed it would need to support it, I'm sorry.

RVSuitebuilder should have their own support, I guess, which you would need to turn to. They are not affiliated with us.

If you have FTP access on webhostingpad, I would sugget you upload Serendipity manually into a FTP directory and install it on your own, that way we can give support to you and everything should work smoothly. You would need to install updates on your own and you would have an independent login on the blog installation - but this way, everything would work as it is intended to be.
