A little help???

Hi!!

I have just recently created a blog http://www.katierobinson.co.nz/pinknoise-artzine/ (I have had a lot of fun and learnt a lot along the way! :D)

I was thinking that it is almost ready so I have invited a few people to post, but I have just discovered that only I can post images??

I have already explored the user groups and access levels to see if it would change. I have made a user have exactly the same access as I do, but still they are having issues.

Any user can upload media/hotlink images and they show up fine in the preview but when it is posted I just get the code (this is the same with all the different levels of access).

But if I do exactly the same thing with my account it is successful.

Am I missing anything really obvious that someone could help with??

Also I have disabled/enabled the markup plugins for the users.

If anyone needs any more information just let me know!

Thanks a lot!! It is to be an art zine. . .might be a bit funny without images

xKatie

Do you have a link to a post that you created that does work, and another to a post that did not show the image?

Hi Don!

So both of the posts are here http://katierobinson.co.nz/pinknoise-ar ... ?frontpage

I changed "sean" to become an admin.

Or here is "seans" that doesn't work. . .http://katierobinson.co.nz/pinknoise-ar ... -Test.html

and here is my one http://katierobinson.co.nz/pinknoise-ar ... -Test.html

The html in that entry is being escaped. Are you both using the same editor (wysiwyg vs regular)?

Hiya!

Yes we have the exact same settings (from everything I can tell) and using the same editor.

I just reposted them again and double checked that we were.

When I use "sean" to post the image. It *gets* it fine in the Entry Body part of the page, as in, I can preview it fine. . it just doesn't get posted correctly.

Any other ideas?

Thanks for helping!

Katie provided me with admin access so I was able to take a closer look.

Your problem is a result of the event plugin "Options for trustworthy editing on multi-user blogs". If an author has not been identified as trustworthy via that plugin, any HTML included within an entry is escaped. "Escaped" means that it is no longer code, but merely readable text, so something like "<" becomes :"<"

I do not really know how you intend to use your site, so I cannot make a recommendation regarding your use of this particular plugin.

You are running several additional event plugins. You might want to consider removing any you do not really need.

Finally, the site, as it presently exists, has numerous HTML and CSS problems. While you are correcting those problems, I also suggest you consider a more recent release of serendipity - the version you are running is quite old.
