hi
when i tyr to install serendipity i got this error
can you help me what is it mean ?
and what i must do?


Could not connect to database; check your settings.
The mySQL error was: Lost connection to MySQL server during query


the user name and pass of DB is correct but i get this error

is the database server running on the same machine as s9y?

if i must creat the tables in DB manully ?
or S9y Do it For Me

i put the S9Y in another Folder (Not WWW) in the root that named BLOG
is it wrong ?

If you get errors like this it means your MySQL database is not up and running probably. Talk to your hoster to fix connection issues.

It has nothing to do with folders, it's just the Database malfunctioning.

Serendipity automatically creates the tables in the DB. Only the DB itself must exist (empty database).
