Serendipity and SQLite3

I have two blogs, one that was originally created using Blogger and the second one using SimplePHPBlog.
I wanted to redo them because I felt that I was giving up to much personal control using Blogger and it appears that SimplePHPBlog is no longer being actively maintained.
I looked at Wordpress because of its extensive support base, but for personal reasons, I would prefer to not use MySQL.
I found Flatpress (it uses text files for the database) and installed it on one of the Blogs. It works well, but has one glaring fault. There is no facility for comment moderation. So I am continuing to look.
I just discovered Serendipity this morning and see that it can be used with SQLite (I have no objection to using SQLite). I would like to hear from other users/administrators how well it works with SQLite3, which is what is available from my hosting provider).
Any comments/suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
