I just install v0.8 and I don't seem to have an admin section. I saw something briefly about "bad tar ball" but I can find any solid info on it in the forums. This is quite perplexing...

Re: no admin section
What's your URL? Make sure you extracted all files with subdirectories properly. You should have a file called 'serendipity_admin.php'.
You can also try to download the .zip release file on http://www.sf.net/projects/php-blog

Garvin

Ah ha! I do have a serendipity_admin.php.
The link on the index page wants to go to http://www.gpdn.ca/mrnegitoro/blog/admin
When I sign in at serendipity_admin.php the style sheet seems to be missing.
Weird.

It seems you have set "URL Rewriting" in your Configuration section to either "Apache Errorhandling" or "mod_rewrite" but your host does not support this.
Switch the option to "None" and stylesheets et all will work.

Garvin
