Comments default LINEAR

I cant seem to remember how to make the COMMENT default LINEAR rather than THREADED.
It isnt in personal settings as I expected!

FYI - RSS is working great! I read the blog from different RSS systems and it seems igoogle is the only one that I found so far that includes videos in OBJECT or EMBED form...

It's a template change in entries.tpl, you might want to searhc this board for 'threade' or 'linear'...

BTW, when a few users go back and forth in comments and use the "reply to" option - in default THREAD - that new comment reply gets lost inside an old comment somewhere up the page. LINEAR puts the new comment at the end of comments so you always know where the most recent comment is, at the end. That turns out to be more important than the very nice REPLY TO option. GIVE ME NEWEST THEY CRY!

So could there be a way to code THREAD to move the original comment with the new reply to the bottom of the page? Users would still get to use the cool REPLY TO and know the newest is at the end.

What you suggest would defeat the reason of reply to.

What you suggest would be the linear view, so just stick with that linear view instead of threaded.
