multilingual plugin is not creating output

Basically I like how the plugin is supposed to work, but it doesn't create any output. I can see the different language contents in the entry-overview, in the frontend the possibility to choose between languages is shown in the entry-footer, but when I click on the non-standard-language there are no contents shown.

I also can see the 2nd language contents in the database, but somehow it seems they're not transported to the template. Is there any configuration I should do in the template?

I installed s9y 1.4.1, at the moment it's for testing-purpose only, so the installation is somehow "off the peg" - I didn't configure much and also didn't install any plugins except the multilingual one. Also it's running with the default-template.

Hi!

Have you tried to see if it works when you browse your blog as a non-logged in user? That will then not force the locally selected language, it might be influencing here.

Can you show your URL where you see this behaviour so that we can have a look?

Garvin

Hi Garvin,

thx for your answer and good idea: but the logout doesn't make any difference.

As far as I could figure out by now it may be an issue related to the URL created or to some rewrite rules? The links behind the English/German-Option in the entry-footer don't specify the entry.

But feel free to look into it on http://bit-farm.org

Hi!

Yes, permalinks seem to be wrong. Which values did you enter? Serendipity needs you to use a prefix like /archives or /entries for a lot of features like the entry translation...

Then the solution probably lies in not deleting the %id% out of the URLs?

Would it be possible to design the multiple language plugin in a way to not rely on those settings?

Hi!

No, it's unrelated to %id%. It's because of a directory path like /archives or /entry that is required.

I tried to change the settings but it's not working anyway. Would you mind telling me exactly what settings have to be chosen?
Since it's a testing installation I wouldn't mind sending you a pn with a password temporarily set for you.

Hi!

Every permalink path settings needs a path, and cannot be empty.

Whats your current config, tell me what you entered in each permalink pattern and permalink path input field.

Hi!

Garvin

Hi Garvin,

derzeit ist es so konfiguriert. Damit funktioniert es also nicht.
Klar, eine 1.5-Installation kann ich versuchen.

Hi!
