Installed Serendipity, it runs but a huge long list of files fail verification.

I went in and 777'ed directories and individual files. No go.

This seems as if only binary files are affected. How did you upload the files, which transfer tool did you use? It might be that it used an ASCII transfer mechanism instead of BINARY?

Interesting. Now that I look at these, from a glance it looks like they're all jpgs or pngs.

I can see the original on my own computer.

But I can't read one from the server.

It looks like maybe something corrupted them in the ftp transfer?

And spot on. It looks like the transfer mode in the FTP program was somehow set to "ASCII" instead of "Auto." Not sure why.

I think this post gets THE award for the fastest and most accurate support EVER!
