reinstalled and lost posts

i recently had some corrupted files on my installation of 1.4.1 (which had been upgraded from 1.4) which were causing some serious errors (which, in the end, may have been my hosts fault, not serendipity's, but that's a whole other story~) and so i deleted and reinstalled using the same database. however, i am now unable to see some 20~30 posts that i made (i believe) since i upgraded from 1.4 to 1.4.1. using phpMyAdmin, i can see that these latest posts do still exist within the database, and i don't see anything particularly different about them from the other posts, so i guess i'm at a bit of a loss as to why i can't see these particular posts.

in case it has any bearing, the server meltdown/errors were 500 errors, apparently caused by a) syntax errors in my .htaccess file, b) corruption in my index.php file, or c) mystic lousiana voodo, depending on who you listen to. (^^;) i'm not terribly saavy with either mysql or php, so any help would be appreciated.

s9y 1.4.1
php 4.4.9
mysql 4.0

thanks,
~meredeth.

Hi!

I don't think this is something that we can easily solve through words here. If you can give me access to your installation (s9y login, phpmyadmin login should do, FTP might not be required) I can offer to have a look at it? If you'd like that, please send me a PM.

Regards,
Garvin

ok, this is the post where i admit that i'm a dummy and should be locked away for ever. (^^;)

let this be a lesson to all of you, when you reinstall your serendipity, please double check that you have the same database prefix as you did before, otherwise, half of your entries will be missing...

thanks though~
