Markup plugins ignore configuration

A client of mine is using Xinha in a very weird way, sometimes pasting stuff from NVU etc. Now, we all know that Xinha and the NL2BR plugin don't work together very well, so I deactivated the NL2BR plugin (which I almost always do by default).

Of course, this leads to comments not having paragraphs, which is bad since this particular blog (http://unitedmaps.net) tends to get rather looong comments sometimes. So I installed the NL2BR plugin again, configuring it to only format comments.

And you know what? It doesn't give a damn. It formats entries anyway, the dirty little f*ck*r. Grrr!

I then remembered that I use the Textile markup plugin in my own blog to solve this problem, so I installed the Textile plugin. Again, it's only active for comments in the plugin config.

And ... yes, you guessed it: Same thing here! Textile formatting is applied to the entry as well as the comments though specifically configured differently in the plugin config. Grrr!

So it seems as if the markup plugins ignore their configuration. Any idea why this could happen?

Edit: Almost forgot: Of course, this is a current 1.4.1, and all the plugins are up to date as well :)

Hell, yeah. Is that it? Crap, it is. Deactivating caching makes NL2BR work again. (I don't think I activated that option. Then again, I didn't administer this blog from the beginning.)

Thanks! :)
